Having used Char Baby for several catering events in the past, MyWork understood the business needs and the sense of urgency for this project at a time when the hospitality industry was required to pivot to new forms of service delivery and revenue.
With the sudden surge in online orders and contactless delivery, the time was right for the Char Baby team to invest in their online presence.
While helping to define and deliver a new business model for Char Baby was a challenge, the team at MyWork embraced it with open arms. We worked together to simplify the website and improve its functionality to enable a better customer experience as well as easier web maintenance for the business. Critical to the success of this solution was the continual support we provided to the Char Baby team in the initial stages as they navigated this change.
Char Baby didn’t just survive the impact of the global pandemic – the business has absolutely thrived in a post-COVID world. Not only did Char Baby successfully pivot and expand their online order and delivery methods to incorporate high-quality gourmet hampers during a difficult global crisis, but they also recognised the long-term benefit to adding this new revenue stream to their business model.
The amount of business brought in via their redesigned website has seen a focus back to their traditional in-person gourmet moveable feasts for a range of events, while continuing to offer contactless food delivery, as well as the addition of a Private Chef service!
