MyWork was established in 2009, in Brisbane Australia, specialising in the development of websites and digital marketing. And well, not much has changed since then!
History of MyWork
2009 - Matt Holme starts MyWork in the office of MyHome
With a team size of 2 people and website packages priced at $150
2011 - Small business success
After putting in the work for 2 years, and surviving the global financial crisis, MyWork takes off and starts to grow, with long-term team members Bjorn Mett and Dan Brett joining the team.
2015 - Becoming a web design studio
With aggressive marketing campaigns, and a rapidly growing team, MyWork is one of the fastest growing web studios in Australia at this point in time.
2016 - New servers
Having grown large enough to warrant having their own servers, MyWork invests in dedicated servers in Milton, Brisbane to host their hundreds of client websites.
2017 - The 'disaster'
A fire breaks out at the servers in Milton, and all client websites are beyond recoverable. MyWork’s team worked 20-hour shifts during this period to communicate to clients and rebuild the websites from scratch. At this point, MyWork moves all their hosting to the cloud.
2019 - COVID and birth of a start-up
After rebounding steadily from the ‘disaster’ and rapidly growing the team, MyWork splits into two. One team led by Dan Brett stays in place to drive MyWork. The other team with frontman Matt Holme puts their web smarts and marketing savvy into a start-up venture called YouPay.
2024 - Present day
